Time Gets Away....

TIme certainly has gotten away... Over two years, lots and lots has happened! I had the bestest best time in Europe with my daughter, came back to Oz in time for my son's 21st! Jet lagged even! Fast forward to July 6th, 2012 and on this day, I took over Scrapawhile Kodak Express in Taree, NSW! Those first 6 months are a haze to this day! Lot's of teaching, creating with beautiful women and making of new friends! Jan 2013 saw us fly to the USA where I attended CHA! OH MY! Tim Holtz, Dyan Reavley, Heidi Swapp, Julie Fei Fen Balazar to name a few of the wonderfully talented people I met/saw there!!! Sept 2013 saw me off to NZ to go to Louise William's final retreat in Auckland! Caught up with some awesome chicks there! What a blast! Oct 2013 saw me off on a cruise for my friend's 50th Birthday! Noumea, Loyalty Islands and Vanuatu! Yes, lots of traveling! Now that we are pretty much up to date, I shall post some pics of my art work! Enjoy!

Thought I would post some LO's involving my son, most of you would think that I only have a daughter, this is because Josh doesn't like being in the limelight as it where!

Artistic Doll Swap

Hi all, long time no post....*whistles*
I have been dabbling in a lot of things, including mixed media which I am loving. Takes me back to when I was a lot younger and played with plasticine, coloured paper, scissors and paint!! I was invited to join an International Artistic Doll swap, and like the brave girl I am, I jumped right in!! Who doesn't love to dress dolls, right? Then I realised that I would actually have to MAKE a doll.......hmmm....What to do, what to do! Then I was in Big W and came across a "manikin", a poseable doll used for figure drawing. I painted, misted, glazed and inked the life out of it!! This is what I came up with, she is my "Keeper of Memories" and will be shipping out to her new home in England sometime this week!!

This weekend I......

scrapped on Friday night at Scrapsidaisy Wingham with Shaz, Mel & the always lovely Ang!! Had a lovely Birthday day on Saturday with my son, Josh, (his b'day, not mine!!) Then on Sunday, I went down to Sydney with Helen & Nikki to film a segment for the Oprah Show!! I know!!!! Scream fest or what???? Oprah asked the Ten network to find some Aussie fans and talk to them etc about her coming to Australia and I was one of the lucky ones chosen!!! I know!!!! I took Nikki and Helen with me because they are just lovely and HUGE Oprah fans too!! We made signs and sat on the Opera House steps to be filmed screaming, chanting etc. We were then interviewed.

I am sooooo exhausted but it was so worth it!!! We also met the very gorgeous and all round nice person. Carrie Bickmore from the 7PM Project!!!

Latest Work

This LO was created for Scraptherapy's Oct Cybercrop. It was a blind challenge led by Allie Collyer. Great fun!! The criteria was monochromatic and I used Ruby Rocket Vintage range as well as my shabby flowers, Tim's grungeboard and the lovely Mel's pins which were perfect for this LO!
